Showalter PLLC's practice is built around the systematic use of frontier artificial intelligence (principally Anthropic's Claude) as a research, drafting, and analysis instrument under senior-lawyer direction at every stage of a matter.
The workflow
The AI performs the tasks that traditional firms staff with junior associates: doctrinal research, record review, case synthesis, first-pass drafting of subsections, citation compilation, and iterative revision against stylistic and substantive criteria. The lawyers develop the strategy, direct the analysis, exercise judgment over every sentence, and own every word that leaves the firm. The AI is the instrument; the lawyer is the author.
That workflow compresses the time required to produce a polished work product by a factor of roughly three. The compression is passed to clients in the form of flat fees rather than to the firm in the form of higher hourly rates.
The same model runs across both practices. In litigation that means drafting and research; in corporate work it means diligence review, agreement comparison, disclosure drafting, and contract flow.
Verification
Every citation in every filing is verified against the actual opinion text retrieved from primary legal databases. No citation is included on the word of a model.
Independent professional judgment
Every argument, factual assertion, and strategic recommendation is decided by the lawyers. The AI drafts under direction; it does not decide.
Confidentiality
The firm’s preferred AI platform, Anthropic’s Cowork, operates in isolated sessions with no model training on inputs. For clients who require the strongest contractual framework, Showalter PLLC also maintains an Anthropic API account under commercial terms.
The firm does not run client-confidential work through consumer chatbots or untrusted third-party wrappers.
