How We Work
Showalter PLLC's practice is built around the systematic use of frontier artificial intelligence models as a research, drafting, and analysis instrument. We use AI the same way traditional firms use junior associates. Senior lawyers at our firm exercise direction, control, and ownership over the work product in the same way that senior lawyers do at other firms.
The AI performs the tasks that traditional firms staff with junior associates: doctrinal research, record review, case synthesis, first-pass drafting of subsections, citation compilation, and iterative revision against stylistic and substantive criteria.
The lawyers develop the strategy, direct the analysis, exercise judgment over every sentence, and own every sentence that leaves the firm. The AI is the instrument; the lawyer is the author.
That workflow compresses the time required to produce a polished work product by a factor of roughly three. The compression is passed to clients in the form of flat fees rather than to the firm in the form of higher hourly rates.
Every citation in every filing is verified against the actual opinion text retrieved from primary legal databases. No citation is included on the word of a model.
How we verify citations
The firm uses enterprise AI platforms that operate in isolated sessions with no model training on inputs. For institutional clients, and for any matter involving sensitive information, client data is protected with zero data retention: the AI providers keep no record of the content after they respond.
The firm does not run client-confidential work through consumer chatbots or untrusted third-party wrappers.
