Pricing

Flat fees. Senior lawyers. No associate leverage.

Showalter PLLC prices legal work the way clients would design it: a fixed price for a defined scope, quoted before the work begins.

This fee structure carries two major benefits for clients. First, it incentivizes the law firm to capture the productivity gains AI makes available and pass along the savings. Second, it provides the client with cost certainty—the law firm carries the risk that a task will take longer than expected. The billable-hour model disincentivizes the law firm to work efficiently and forces the client to carry the risk that a task will require more hours than anticipated.

Why the model costs less

Traditional firms bill by the hour for teams of associates and paralegals, and pass on the overhead of large offices. Showalter PLLC has none of those layers. An AI-native workflow handles the research, first drafts, and comparison work that firms traditionally staff with junior lawyers, and there is no expensive office to pay for.

The half-price guarantee

On litigation, appellate, and M&A matters, Showalter PLLC guarantees a price at one half of any standard-rate quote from a Chambers-ranked practice.

Contingency and success fees

On some litigation matters, part or all of the fee can be structured as a contingency or success fee, where the matter and the client's objectives fit that arrangement.

Mergers & Acquisitions

M&A engagements are quoted as a flat fee for a defined scope, agreed before the work begins, and carry the half-price guarantee. Other corporate and transactional work is quoted as a flat fee wherever the scope can be defined in advance.

Fractional General Counsel

Ongoing support is scoped as a recurring monthly or quarterly engagement sized to the company's actual needs, so a business gets a senior lawyer who knows it without a full-time hire.
