AI Skill
House Voice
The writing rules we apply to everything that leaves the firm, and the catalogue of tells that make AI-drafted prose read as AI-drafted.
House Voice is applied while drafting rather than as a cleanup pass. It governs sentence construction — subject, verb, object as the default, with the legitimate departures named — and it catalogues the specific evasions that drain prose of its actor: inversion, deletion, and duplication.
The second half is a checklist of AI writing tells, each with the signature that identifies it and the edit that fixes it, built from the patterns that recur in machine-drafted legal prose. Every example in the file is invented; they are there for their grammar.
Best for
- Making AI-assisted drafting stop sounding like AI-assisted drafting
- Giving a team one written standard instead of a house style everyone infers
- Editing a draft that reads fluently and says nothing
